Today we got ready to leave Chaing Mai and Thailand. We stopped into a Kodak store to print off the passport photos for our Lao visa. The store had this amazing orchid plant unlike anything I've ever seen. Yes, they're real.
I remember your shock when you realized the plant was real and not just some unrealistically bright cloth or plastic job. Predictably, it made me feel sad for our way of life in the States, where something so simple and so nice is not the standard at all.
