January 5, 2011 Another temple

I'm not sure how it's possible, but there are new temples everyday for us to discover.  This one is about 4 blocks from our place but in a direction we don't usually go so we hadn't discovered it.  There were a bunch of structures around with smaller Buddha statues and in the middle was this huge, old temple ruin.  The elephant fronts you see over my shoulder are life size, just to give you a sense of how bit the place is.  You can see a giant Buddha in the center doorway.
I love how each temple looks and feels so different.  Christian was speculating today how a person/family would pick a temple to attend.  Since there are so many, using proximity isn't a valid criterion.
